Free PDF to Word Converter

February 15, 2008

Some misguided organisations that ask for documents to be submitted to them as Word files. This is bad practice. Word is not a format designed for document interchange. You can not insure that the way the document looks on your computer is the way it will look on the other person’s screen. This has been one of the drivers behind the development and success of the PDF format.

However, there are occasions where this can’t be avoid, or more commonly, you need to edit a PDF document. There are a number of tools available but Download Squad have just linked to a free solution (Windows only) that claims to convert PDF documents into Word documents.

A useful link to have around.

First I was going to thank you for posting exactly the thing I have been looking for.
The printer in our department has a real problem with PDF but works perfectly with word….
However, I tried this thing a couple of times, and it takes such a long time to convert a file, during which time my computer crashed, that I’m going to thank you when I get it to work properly…
